Service Children

"Tadpole Military Heroes" is our school club for children with parents in the armed forces. The club was named by the current children after discussions with each other. The children meet fortnightly and take part in craft sessions, talk about emotions and enjoy spending time with their friends who are in the same situation as them.  We are planning to go on some trips as well as invite our families into school.

Some of our thoughts and pictures about what Remembrance means:

Remembrance means “celebrating all the brave people in the military.”

Remembrance means “that you can remember all the brave people who fought in two wars.”

Remembrance means “when all the people in the wars died and there were poppy fields.”

Remembrance means “remembering everybody who died or were injured in war, so that we can appreciate what we have today.”

We also support Reading Force which encourages families to join together to create a scrapbook about a favourite book, providing another bond when there is a posting.  Find out more by visiting www.readingforce.org.uk
