Autumn 2 Week 6

The Christmas festivities have begun in the Badgers and Foxes as we have been busy practising for our Carols by Candlelight service on Monday! Aswell as some super singing, this week we have been learning about weight and capacity in Maths.

We have investigated how many jugs of water Santa might need to take with him to give to all his reindeer, we have compared the weights of objects and used the words 'lighter', 'heavier', and 'equal', and we have tried to balance Santa's sleigh to make it easier for him to fly by using balance scales!

In PSHE this week we've been thinking about what a good friend looks like. We created freeze frames with our friends to show friendship.

We're looking forward to our final week of 2019 with the Badgers and Foxes. As we are reaching the end of this term, the children have been thinking about how much they have learnt and grown so far in Year One!
