Y4 - News of the Week

We have been very busy this week!

In Maths, we have been working hard on our column methods for addition and subtraction and using them to help us problem solve. We are so much more confident with this now.

In English, we have been developing our writing skills in order to plan and write our own version of 'The Egyptian Cinderella'.

Do you know how to take care of your teeth? We have been learning about teeth and set up a scientific enquiry to see which drinks can cause tooth decay. We will share the results with you next week!

We had a great day on Wednesday as we learnt all about Uganda and how we are in partnership with a Ugandan school. We used lots of our values, particularly compassion. to gain a better understanding of how different cultures live. We also took part in a drumming workshop where we learnt new rhythms of African music.

'Hello Yellow' day taught us how to look after ourselves and our brains. We talked about breathing techniques, completed some mindfullness colouring and even designed some mental health mascots.
